The marathon will be promoted in Europe by the office of the Tourist Board of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, publicising both the race and the island as a tourist destination.

The Gran Canaria-Maspalomas Marathon has been presented to the Norwegian public during the celebration of the tenth edition of the women's race KK Mila, held in Oslo, specifically in the Bislett Stadium.

The celebration of this sporting event has served as a showcase to promote the first edition of the Gran Canaria-Maspalomas Marathon in Norway. At the island's promotional stand, attendees were able to learn first-hand about the circuit, the programme of activities and other details of the race with the more than 500 flyers that were distributed during the days prior to the celebration of the women's sporting event.

The Gran Canaria-Maspalomas Marathon will continue touring other European capitals with a presence in the Stockholm Half Marathon on Saturday 11th September, in the Vienna Marathon to be held on Sunday 12th September, which has 40,000 registered runners, and on 19th September in the Copenhagen Half Marathon where 23,000 runners will meet.

The event organisers have thanked Turismo de Gran Canaria for its efforts to promote the marathon in Europe.
