Before the race:

WHAT DO I NEED TO REGISTER?

Understand and accept the race regulations. Likewise, you must complete the online registration form and pay the fee within the deadlines indicated in the regulations.

  • Only runners over 18 years of age are allowed to participate in the Maspalomas Marathon distance.
  • In the Vithas 10K and Marathon Relays distances, runners from 16 years of age are allowed to participate. To be valid, it is necessary to provide at the time of registration, the full name and ID of the authorising person.


I HAVE NEVER PARTICIPATED IN A MARATHON, CAN I REGISTER?

Yes, each runner registers freely and at his/her own risk, declaring that he/she is in good enough physical condition to finish the race.


HOW CAN I CHECK MY REGISTRATION?

After completing the online registration, you will receive an email confirming the validity of your registration. If you do not receive it, please send us an email to the following address: info@maspalomasmarathon.com info@maspalomasmarathon.com


WHAT DO I NEED TO BE IN THE FRONT BOXES? BOXES?

Runners requesting to start from box 1 must justify their mark or time at the time of completing their registration, attaching a diploma or classification of the race showing their best mark, dated less than 3 years ago. The name of the race, the brand and the name of the runner must appear on the document.


I HAVE REGISTERED AND CANNOT PARTICIPATE, CAN I REQUEST A REFUND OF MY REGISTRATION FEE?

The refund of the registration fee is subject to the cancellation insurance of the race. If the cancellation insurance is not taken out, no refunds, changes of modality, or transfers of registrations to other runners will be made.


WHERE DO I PICK UP MY RACE BIB AND RUNNER'S BAG?

At the Runners Village, located in ExpoMeloneras (Plaza de las Convenciones. Maspalomas) on the 17th and 18th of November from 10:00 to 20:00 hours. It will be necessary to bring your ID card or federative licence in the case of federated participants.


CAN SOMEONE COLLECT THE RUNNER'S BAG FOR ME?

Yes, bibs numbers may be taken off by anyone other than the runner with a duly completed authorisation.




Race day:



Where and when should I go?

The start of all the races will be in the vicinity of the Faro de Maspalomas. We recommend arriving at least 40 minutes in advance to avoid rushing and last minute accumulations.


Are there parking spaces available?

Yes, specific parking for runners will be set up on several of the surrounding esplanades. However, we recommend using public transport, but if you need to travel with your vehicle, please do so well in advance.

CAN I COLLECT MY RUNNER'S BAG AND RACE BIB ON THE DAY OF THE RACE?

No. No race bibs will be issued on the day of the race. You must collect your race material on the days and at the times indicated in the Regulations.



IS THERE A CLOAKROOM SERVICE?

Yes, you will be able to make use of it by handing in your belongings in a sports bag. It is essential to wear your race bib to hand in/collect your bag. The organisation cannot be held responsible for valuables in the bags in case of breakage/theft.


WHAT IS THE STARTING PROCEDURE LIKE?

The start is organised in boxes according to the time accredited by the runners at the time of registration.

10 minutes before the estimated start time, access to the start boxes will be opened.


DO I HAVE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE INCLUDED IF I NEED IT?

Yes, all participants who need assistance during the race are covered by medical insurance.



During the Race:



WHAT TEMPERATURE CAN I EXPECT ON THE DAY OF THE RACE?

We are in Maspalomas, so the probability of sunny weather on the day of the race is 90%. At the start time it will be between 17ºC and 19ºC and at midday, 4 hours after the start, between 20ºC and 24ºC.


SEEMS TOO HOT FOR ME...

It's not all going to be easy! We will have refreshment stations every 2.5km to keep you hydrated.


HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO FINISH THE RACE?

We know that the marathon is a very tough goal, that's why we give you up to 6 hours to complete it.

The 10K has a time limit of 1.5 hours.


I'M TRAVELLING WITH MY FAMILY, CAN THEY DO ANYTHING DURING THE MARATHON?

Of course! If your family prefers to help you during the marathon instead of spending it on the beach, we have a large group of volunteers to join you to cheer you on during the race. They can also take part in the parallel activities we have organised during the weekend: Kids Race, Accessible 3K.

WHERE ARE THE RESULTS PUBLISHED?

The official rankings will be available on the official website of the event and live on the official DG Events app for Android and iOS. Android y iOS.
