WHAT DO I NEED TO REGISTER?

Understand and accept the race regulations. You must also complete the online registration form and pay the registration fee within the deadlines indicated in the rules.

  • Only runners over 18 years of age are allowed to participate in the Marathon distance.
  • In the 10 K distance, runners aged 16 and over are allowed to participate. Minors must present a signed parental authorisation.

I HAVE NEVER PARTICIPATED IN A MARATHON, CAN I REGISTER?

Yes, each runner registers freely and at his/her own risk, declaring that he/she is in good enough physical condition to finish the race.

HOW CAN I CHECK MY REGISTRATION?

When you complete the online registration, you will receive an e-mail confirming the validity of your registration. If you do not receive it, please contact info@maspalomasmarathon.com

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE IN THE FRONT STARTING BOXES adelantados?

To qualify for the first three starting boxes, you need to prove your performance by sending a classification (marathon or half marathon) showing time and full name of the runner to the following email address: info@maspalomasmarathon.com

I HAVE REGISTERED AND CANNOT PARTICIPATE, CAN I REQUEST A REFUND OF MY REGISTRATION FEE?

The refund of the registration fee is subject to the cancellation insurance of the race. If the cancellation insurance is not taken out, no refunds or changes of modality will be made.

WHERE DO I PICK UP MY RACE BIB AND RUNNER'S BAG?

At the runner's fair, on the days indicated in the race regulations. It will be necessary to bring your ID card or federative license in the case of federated participants.

COVID

DOES THE EVENT HAVE MEASURES REGARDING THE COVID19 PANDEMIC?

Of course, you have more detailed information in the COVID19 option in the menu of our website.

IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF THE COVID19 PANDEMIC, CAN I REQUEST A REFUND OF MY REGISTRATION FEE?

Yes, in the event of cancellation of the event, participants may request a refund of their registration fee within 30 calendar days of the publication of the cancellation.

DO I NEED A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST TO PARTICIPATE?

Yes, on 1 October, the organisation will communicate the documentation that will be necessary to present to endorse participation.

Race day:

Where and when should I go?

The start of all races will be in the vicinity of the Faro de Maspalomas. We recommend to arrive at least 40 minutes in advance to avoid rushing and last minute accumulations.

Are there parking spaces available?

Yes, there will be specific car parks for runners in several esplanades in the surroundings. However, we recommend that you use public transport. If you need to travel with your vehicle, we recommend that you do so well in advance.

CAN I COLLECT MY RUNNER'S BAG AND BIB NUMBER ON THE DAY OF THE RACE?

No, in order to avoid crowds, bib numbers will not be collected on the day of the race. You must collect your bib number on the days and at the times stipulated in the regulations.

IS THERE A CLOAKROOM SERVICE?

Yes, you can use the cloakroom by handing in your belongings in a sports bag. It is essential to wear your race bib to hand in/collect your bag. The organisation cannot be held responsible for any valuables contained in the bags in case of breakage/theft.

WHAT IS THE STARTING PROCEDURE LIKE?

The start is organised in boxes according to the time accredited by the runners at the time of registration.
10 minutes before the estimated start time, access to the start boxes will be opened.

DO I HAVE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE INCLUDED IF I NEED IT?

Yes, all participants who need medical assistance during the race are covered by the race medical insurance.

During the race

WHAT TEMPERATURE CAN I EXPECT ON THE DAY OF THE RACE?

We are in Maspalomas, so it will be 90% sunny😊. Starting time it will be between 17ºC and 19ºC and at midday (12:00, 4 hours after starting) between 20ºC and 24ºC.

SEEMS TOO HOT FOR ME...

It's not all going to be easy! We will have refreshment stations every 2.5km to keep your hydration at its optimum.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO FINISH THE RACE?

We know that the marathon is a very tough goal, that's why we give you up to 7 hours to complete it.

I'M TRAVELLING WITH MY FAMILY, CAN THEY DO ANYTHING DURING THE MARATHON?

Of course! If your family prefers to help you during the marathon instead of spending it on the beach, we have a large group of volunteers to join you to cheer you on during the race, or dare to take part in the parallel races during the weekend (Kids Race, 10K).
